Лучший экземпляр среди всех красных сухих вин, что я встречала. Субъективно конечно, но восхитительный вариант с интенсивной кислотностью и глубоким многогранным вкусом плодов, трав, пряностей. Послевкусие тоже неординарное - ягодно-древесное. Часто подаю его к домашней пасте с трюфелем.

Изначально я даже не планировал покупать это вино, но теперь всегда храню дома несколько его бутылочек)) Данный напиток я люблю до глубины души, с ним меня познакомил отец и именно по нему он мне рассказывал как правильно "чувствовать" вино. Чудесный алкоголь, хорошо гармонирующий с большинством блюд.

3.5 to 4 star and gets better not worse which is a good sign. Not over priced so would order again.

Beautiful bottle, rather nice wine. Opens up by about 45 minutes and is rather nicely balanced. Sangiovese in good form with a lot of earth flavours dominating and the fruit coming in to balance it as we go along. Medium high tannins, high acidity but very well balanced. Very credible for price

Dry black cherry overpowering but still delicate good wine at my surprise !! I paid 23€ discounted from 32 I think it is a bit overpriced !! But good wine period!!!

Карас — это вино, названное в честь армянской амфоры и тесно связанное с древнейшим винодельческим регионом мира, история которого уходит на 4100 лет до нашей эры. Виноградники расположены на южных склонах вулкана Арарат, где, по преданию, пристал ковчег Ноя, и где были посажены первые виноградные лозы. Вино представляет собой смесь сортов сира, мальбека и ещё одного сорта, с которым я не знакома. В аромате чувствуются ноты красных фруктов и темных ягод.

Интересное и богатое вино с комплексным вкусом и ароматом. Оставляет приятное послевкусие.

Вино производится наполовину карбонической мацерацией, наполовину - традиционной винификацией с отделением гребней. Это второй год, когда вино производится из паиса со столетних лоз, обвивших деревья. Нос отличается яркими оттенками красных ягод, жевательной резинки, леденцов. Во вкусе легкое с очень изящными танинами. Производится 6000 бутылок. Луис Гутьерес, Wine Advocate.

Nice smooth white. Nose pear, green apple, mineral. Finishing with notes of grapefruit, lemon, and cream.

3.9 Feels more refined than 2017, reminds of a good basic German Riesling. Low alcohol, high acidity and lemon zest and lime freshness, some underripe peach, wet stone and bubblegum. Great summer wine.

maybe this wine is not everyday or for special occasion choice. but it's worth trying. tart cherry, cranberry and in the same time wine's white

Wild grape vines that grow in the woods up into trees with no human intervention. Grapes are harvested from ladders up to 5 meters high. Wild yeast. Fermented in open containers and stored in a clay amphora. Unfiltered and unclarified. Wow, this was SO interesting on the nose. Herbal, fermentey, slightly sweet. Smells like sweet bread or unbaked bread dough. Juicy, crisp, dry, green apple on the palate. High acidity. Definitely had subtle flavor but it was balanced well.

(3,8) Unique wine. From wild-growing tree vines, from a very rare white mutation of the red País grape. Pale copper colour. Peaches, nectarines, lemons, hint of flowers, apricots, oranges. Subtle tannins and bitterness. Aged in amfora, with natural yeasts.

Smells of pear and gold in color. Fruity and tart apple flavor. Dry and tasty.

Это вино превзошло все ожидания. Идеальное сочетание плотного вкуса и утонченного аромата. Отличное сопровождение для ужина.

Gran Reserva Rioja от Beronia - великолепное вино с насыщенным вкусом и ароматом ванили и специй.

В этом вине сразу чувствуются яркие нотки дуба, ванили, табака и тёмной вишни, которые прекрасно дополняются лёгкими оттенками тёмного шоколада. В финале дуб снова выходит на первый план, оставляя впечатляющий след.

Вино гладкое и умеренно насыщенное. Как говорится, в меру всего – не переборщили. Именно такое насыщение, которое приходится по вкусу.

Невероятно насыщенный вкус с оттенками черных ягод и легкий аромат дуба. Это вино приятно удивляет своим богатым букетом вкусов и длительным послевкусием.

This has ripe banana on the nose and combines with plums and a hint of chocolate on the  palate.
Its medium full and medium complex with a slight farmyardy character bringing out some light savoury flavours and errs towards the old style Pinotages. 15 31 44= 90

This powerful pinotage is a full bodied aromatic wonder. It lingers on the palate with flavors of raspberry and plum. Simply an amazing pinotage

Pinotage grape is always one of my favourite. And this one is very good... believe me or not paired with lobster and mussels linguine! Nice fruit tones, plums on top. Full body, leather and good tanninis, excellent finish with the right acidity. Congrats!

Dark Fruits on the nose, cherry, blackberry... Well balanced on the pallate with ripe fruits again, with some nice tannins giving it structure.. Med+body with a good chewy mouth feel...

Short finish, but makes. You reach for more. A solid effort, especially for the price.. Went well with cottage pie made with lamb shoulder meat)))

Lovely purple colour. Soft fruity nose. Raspberries and hints of chocolate on the palate. Medium, raw, clean finish. Very enjoyable for such a young wine

Dark ruby colour.

On the nose cherries, plums, green vegetation, oak and peppers.

On the palate medium plus bodied with fine grainy, drying tannins, medium acidity and a long plum finish.

11 May 2019: Aged wonderfully with lots of fynbos, plum, raspberries, leather, smoke, mocha, vanilla and oak. I’m adding half a star to my rating.

2 Nov 2017: Still one of my favourite Pinotage estates. This vintage continues the tradition.

Lanzerac is known as home of the Pinotage and it's not hard to see why. Black cherries, plums and juicy wine with a long finish and well balanced tannins. A touch smoky. Will age well.

Surprisingly good. Deep purple colour, with ripe plums and berries on the nose and palate. Nice touch of this dense wine. Additionaly graet hints of chocolate and lovely vanilla extending to great aftertaste.

Fruit and  spice show off in this well made wine. An example of our national grape which you can share even with the anything but Pinotage crowd.

Люблю пинотаж, а этот особенно. Насыщенные фрукты во вкусе со сливой on top. Послевкусие очень продолжительное. Мне кажется, даже через пару-тройку лет вино будет таким же интересным, а скорее всего и лучше.

Lancerac in Stellenbosch was the first estate to telease a Pinotage commercially in the world. It is a grape own to SAfrica, a cross between Pinot Noir and Hermitage by Prof Anraham Perold. This wine has stll got lots to offer, juicy, stable and some tannic structure nicely in balance with plummy flavours. Soft.

Loads of red fruits with hints of vanilla. Slighty oaky well rounded. Long full fruity aftertaste.

We stayed here at Lanzerac where this wine is a great value...and drank plenty of it! Great, full-bodied dry wine with character! Enjoyed it with venison Wellington.

Deep Purple

Surprisinlgy good! Notes of vanilla and mature plum. Spices are present in a good way. Half bodied but good structure. Good C/B.

Red fruits for me including cherry. Quite pleasant, finish just very short. Medium to low tannin. A nice easy drinking bottle of wine.

Nose is meaty, spicy, and fruity, with lots of dark plum, blackberry, black cherry, and a little sweet mocha. Palate delivers very smoothly, with a slightly baked character to the cherries and plums. Rounded off with a bit of smokey bacon, black pepper, and dry clove, with a lasting, long finish of vanilla, leather, and fruit crumble. Tannins are smooth, quite fine, alcohol gives a nice hefty weight and a touch of richness. Well executed, not overdone new world wine.

Once again, Subtle. Very mild nose, fruity, yet cedar like with a hint of something I couldn't identify.
All the red fruits take a stroll around the palate, & the acidity, alcohol & tannins all integrate into a really great body that fills the mouth, plum, vanilla with a hint of something spicy.
Not sure how they manage, but Lanzerac make a Pinotage here that emulates the best of both the parents.
The finish is short & quite powerful, but really doesn't last long enough..

17 / 20 opened 5 hrs prior to tasting.  mustyness that blows off plum flinty beef grape skin bouquet.  Subtle flavors with nice length.  Plump complex fruit elegant not powerful but with nice length.  50:50 cinsault / pinot noir crossed grape from S. Africa

Not in a good condition to enjoy, but the impression is quite good. Very fruity in the nose with the aromas of blackberry, plum, toast, chocolate, vanilla. Off-dry, med tannin and med acidity. Should try again to fully understand this wine.

Одно из моих самых предпочтительных вин. Очень доволен, что удалось раздобыть ещё одну бутылку урожая 2012 года. В этом вине отчетливо ощущаются вишнёвые ноты, которые поражают своей мягкостью и насыщенностью, а в продолжительном послевкусии проявляются оттенки горького шоколада.

Это изысканное, нежное и качественное вино. Привкус тёмного шоколада и вишни прекрасно соответствует моим гастрономическим предпочтениям. Я попробовал этот напиток в ресторане и был чрезвычайно удовлетворён.

Выразительный и зрелый Сирá с нотками черной смородины и специй. Ощущается легкая пикантность. Великолепный выбор для вечернего отдыха.

Dark violet oily red, scents of pepper, leather, earth and wood, firm and compactly balanced taste. Long aftertaste. Complex and evolving. Excellent.

Intense inky dark purple colour. Smoky nose with some new oak, black truffle, raw meat, dark berries and gingerbread spices. The palate is full and muscular, less oak on the taste with spicy and layered dark fruit, intense flavours of sweet blackberry, steak tartar meatiness and a very long, spicy finish. Nice and rewarding in a fleshy Côte-Rôtie style.

This is one super impressive Syrah! Full bodied, but refined & elegant. A nice linear acidity is coupled with silky tannins & wonderfully persistent finish.

An intense bouquet of dark fruits, wood spice, leather & a touch of eucalyptus. The palate is bone dry, at first brimming with blackcurrant, damson & tart blueberry; yielding to softer notes of vanilla, chocolate & a clean, peppery finish.

I was really happy with this wine, it's a great stand alone drinker & perfect with chicken fajitas!

Already smoother than the spicy 2013 that I previously had, the aging potential of this cold weather full bodied Syrah is impressive and its balance outstanding

Syrah/Shiraz n°4 in our tasting hailed from Chili, made by the highly-praised biodynamic Matetic estate. Most of their wines have an authentic and classy French feel, with a touch more ripeness and alcohol. This 100% Syrah is a well-crafted and expressive wine - intense yet articulate. Charming and complex aromas of dark berries, chocolate, farmyard, pepper and thyme, with a whiff of molten rubber, lead to a dry and harmonious palate with ripe fruit, just enough acidity, fine tannins and elegant use of oak.

Excellent Syrah from Chile. EQ stand  for Equilibrio (,balance in spanish) and this is just right. Very well balanced wine smoked some eucalyptus and a little bit of vanilla. Very intense full body wine. I recomend it with spicy food. It was perfect with peruvian "papa rellena" potatoes filled with saolusages and with peruvian style cow heart (anticuchos).  Top syrah from Chile.

В бокале имеет глубокий темно-фиолетовый цвет с переливами, а в запахе слышны темные фрукты, черный перец, табак, древесные и земляные нотки. Танины мягкие и шелковистые, хотя вино полнотелое. Кислотность умеренная, послевкусие продолжительное. Все это подчеркивает благородное происхождение напитка. Отличное вино для презента и особых случаев с неплохим потенциалом хранения.

Впервые попробовала чилийские вина в этом году, на дегустации, после чего сконцентрировала на них основное внимание. Особенность этого вина в мощной энергетике, которую не перепутать с другими напитками. Чувствуется темперамент, но при этом виноделам удалось достичь гармонии во всех аспектах. Без преувеличения скажу, что бутылочкой этого вина можно по-настоящему порадовать ценителей глубокого вкуса. 10 из 10 — мое открытие года.

An elegant cold climate Syrah with deep ruby, slightly inky colour. After natural fermentation it spent 12 months in French oak leading to black pepper, coffee, chocolate and leather aromas besides the primary dark fruits and violet tones. Perfectly balanced on the palate, firm body, velvety tannins and long lasting finish. As opens up it shows even more intensity and complexity. Very interesting wine that certainly makes you think and talk about. 4.3

Very good Chilean Syrah. What a joy!

Biodynamic produce from cool San Antonio valley. Dense dark berries, some reductive tones, leather and herbs like thyme.

Elegant and balanced mouthfeel. Med acids, rounded tannins. Ripe fruit tones and just a touch of wood. Med+ finish. Very good indeed. 17 pts @ own cellar.

Deep ruby. Nose: black fruit, plum sauce, cassis, black pepper, black olive, tobacco leaf, pastrami, charred wood and vanilla, all unfolding non-stop. Mouth: dry, med+ acidity, med+ tannins, full body with black plum, black cherry, clove, espresso, sweet tobacco, potting soil and cedar. Long spicy/herbal finish. All kind of deep spices, more intense on nose than in mouth, but still complex and generous on the variety of flavours. The high alcohol gets rounded by elegant structure. Outstanding.

Sometimes you just need a Syrah?   Why not

I bought this 2004 vintage EQ from TWS many many years ago and it's been tucked away ever since. With 15 years of development this was a treat. Loads of leather, coffee, chocolate. Still plenty of fruit there, plum and fig. Had this with South American food prepared by a pal who used to live there. Cracker.

Smelled like a jar of raspberry jam when i opened the bottle. Smooth doesn’t begin to describe this. Tastes perfectly round, if that even makes sense. Crazy long finish

4.0. Wine #4 at winery tour of Matetic with Jean Sendero and wife Michelle. The "EQ" line is for equilibrium... the winery is biodynamic and tries to strike that balance between nature and wine production. A really nice Syrah, with notes of wet leaves, black olive, plum and coffee.
